Connecting in a digital world

With over 20 years in video production, 3D animation, and digital media, I’ve built a career not just on creativity, but on forging strong connections that drive growth and opportunity. I have led teams, built partnerships, and collaborated with organizations to expand their reach—whether through fundraising campaigns, brand development, or strategic communication. Running my own animation studio for the past five years has given me deep experience in developing messaging, creating impactful digital and print materials, and strengthening brand presence across web, video, and social media. I excel at building alliances, engaging stakeholders, and helping organizations tell their story in a way that inspires action. My background has prepared me to expand community relationships, support board fundraising efforts, and use communications and storytelling to strengthen organizational impact, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with mission and strategy.

Storytelling That Lasts
While technology continues to evolve, the power of storytelling remains constant. Nonprofits and community organizations succeed when they can share their mission in ways that inspire trust, investment, and participation. Whether through fundraising pitches, board engagement, donor outreach, or community partnerships, authentic storytelling is at the heart of organizational growth. My teaching focuses on giving students and nonprofit leaders the tools to craft compelling narratives that not only resonate with audiences but also drive financial support and long-term impact.

Designing for the Digital and Physical World
Effective communications require fluency across both digital and traditional platforms. From social media campaigns and email outreach to direct mail and video production, I teach strategies that connect organizations with donors, volunteers, and community partners. Each project begins with understanding the organization’s mission and goals, then building campaigns that strengthen branding, generate revenue, and foster lasting relationships.

Bridging Innovation with Tradition
Fundraising and communications are most effective when they balance innovation with trusted practices. I prepare students and organizations to embrace new tools—such as AI-driven content, data-informed outreach, and emerging platforms like TikTok or Discord—while also leveraging proven methods like personal donor cultivation, board engagement, and community events. No matter the medium, a strong story remains the foundation for mobilizing support, building alliances, and sustaining organizational growth.
